Add your own options, spin the wheel and let an equal-chance random pick settle a small decision.
Funny Excuse Generator
Pick a work, school or social occasion and get a deliberately silly excuse.
How to use it
- Choose work, school, social occasions or the full collection.
- Generate a fictional excuse. Generate again for another result; the same excuse will not repeat immediately.
- Preview a result card and share its image from your device’s menu, or copy the sentence or public tool link. Reset restores the full-collection category.
Examples
A work-themed joke
- Input
- Category: Work
- Result
- “My coffee is still installing the morning update.” This is one possible result, not a factual claim.
A small collection of intentionally silly excuses
The generator selects from 24 curated English lines across work, school and social situations. It does not invent a story about your real circumstances and does not ask for names, personal details or a prompt.
The humor is deliberately implausible: calendars can argue with themselves and houseplants can request an evening in. Use the result for a joke, an icebreaker or a creative writing nudge, not as a factual explanation of an important event.
Random selection without a remote generator
Selection happens locally using browser Web Crypto randomness. The previous sentence is excluded from the next draw when other choices exist, so clicking twice gives you two different lines.
Choosing the Italian version switches to a separately written Italian collection rather than translating a result through a service. Reloading does not retain a history, and the tool does not call an AI API or store your selected occasion.
Questions, answered.
Are the excuses generated by AI at runtime?
No. They are selected from a fixed, local collection; there is no prompt, model request or external generation service.
Why do two clicks produce different sentences?
The immediately previous sentence is excluded when alternatives exist. Older sentences can appear again.
Can I use a result as an official explanation?
These lines are fictional entertainment. They are not appropriate advice for legal, medical, employment or other serious situations.
