Examples
A ten-minute break at €24 per hour
- Input
- €24/hour; 10 minutes; 1 break/day; 220 working days
- Result
- €4 per break, €4 per working day and €880 per year.
How bathroom-break pay is calculated
Pay per break = hourly rate × break minutes ÷ 60. The daily amount multiplies that figure by your breaks per working day; the annual projection then multiplies it by your working days per year.
Calculations keep full precision until currency formatting. Use your own work schedule: 220 days is an editable example, not a universal annual allowance.
What this estimate includes
This is a light-hearted estimate of gross time value. It assumes the break is part of paid working time and uses a constant hourly rate. It does not decide whether your employer pays a particular break.
Taxes, overtime, unpaid leave and employment rules are not modelled. If you start from an annual salary, first determine the hourly rate using the paid hours that actually apply to you. Your entered rate stays in this browser.
Questions, answered.
Is this gross or take-home pay?
The calculator uses the rate you enter and labels the estimate as gross. It does not deduct tax, pension contributions or other payroll items.
Does it prove that a break is paid?
No. The calculation assumes paid time; your contract and applicable rules determine actual pay.
Is my salary uploaded?
No. The calculation runs in the browser and the tool does not save your rate or place it in a URL.
