Image Converter

Convert a JPEG or PNG to PNG, JPEG or WebP without uploading the original.

How to use it

Your input

Up to 10 MiB, 20 million pixels and 10,000 pixels per side. No SVG or animated images.

10–100. PNG is lossless; its encoder ignores the quality setting.

JPEG fills transparency with white. Canvas export removes metadata. A larger output is not a saving.

Processed locally in your browser. Inputs are not saved or uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Choose a static JPEG or PNG up to 10 MiB and 20 million pixels.
  2. Select PNG, JPEG or WebP. Set quality for JPEG/WebP; PNG uses lossless encoding.
  3. Convert, check the preview and dimensions, then download the actual encoded image.

Examples

A transparent graphic for a JPEG workflow

Input
Transparent 800 × 400 PNG; JPEG output; quality 80%
Result
An 800 × 400 JPEG with a white background. Output bytes depend on the image and browser.

Choosing an output format

PNG preserves transparency and uses lossless encoding. JPEG is suitable for photographs but replaces transparent pixels with white. WebP supports transparency and uses the selected lossy quality.

Conversion preserves browser-oriented dimensions. A different format or a higher quality does not guarantee a smaller file. Compare actual output bytes before downloading.

Supported files and conversion limits

Inputs are static JPEG and PNG only, up to 10 MiB, 20 million pixels and 10,000 pixels per side. SVG, HEIC, animated PNG and WebP input are excluded. One image is processed at a time.

Canvas export removes original metadata and may change color profiles. Browser decoder/encoder support is required; an unavailable encoder produces an error instead of a mislabeled download. Files stay in memory.

Questions, answered.

Can I convert WebP or HEIC input?

This version accepts static JPEG and PNG. WebP is an output format, and HEIC is not supported.

Does PNG quality affect the result?

No. The browser PNG encoder is lossless and ignores the quality slider, which is disabled for PNG.

Do you upload my photograph?

No. Decoding, preview, encoding and download all happen locally; the image is never passed to ad frames.
