QR Code Generator

Turn text or a URL into a static QR code and download it as PNG or SVG.

How to use it

Your input

Up to 1,200 UTF-8 bytes. The destination is never fetched.

Processed locally in your browser. Inputs are not saved or uploaded.

Your result

Add a link or some text, then generate your QR code. Preview it here and download PNG or SVG.

How to use it

  1. Enter the text or complete URL you want the code to contain.
  2. Generate the QR code and check the preview.
  3. Download PNG for a raster image or SVG for scaling. Test the downloaded code with a scanner before printing or distributing it.

Examples

A website address

Input
https://example.org
Result
A static QR that contains exactly that URL, exportable as PNG or SVG. No request is made to example.org.

A static QR code you control

The code contains your text directly. This tool does not create an account, register a short link or use a dynamic redirect service. A URL is encoded as supplied; it is not opened or checked for availability.

A generated static code has no service-controlled expiry, but a linked page can move or disappear. Choose a URL you control if you plan to print the code for long-term use.

Scan reliability and export formats

The generator uses black modules on white, M error correction and a four-module quiet zone. Leave that white margin intact and avoid stretching the code non-uniformly. Longer content produces a denser pattern.

Input is limited to 1,200 UTF-8 bytes; emoji and accented characters may use multiple bytes. PNG uses whole pixels per module. SVG preserves the geometry at different sizes. Screen size, print quality and the scanning device still affect readability.

Questions, answered.

Can I edit the destination after downloading?

The encoded text cannot be edited without generating a new QR. If you control the destination URL, you can change the page behind it.

Why does a long message need a bigger code?

More data requires more modules. A short, stable URL is often easier to scan than a large block of text.

Is the text sent to a QR service?

No. The QR matrix and both export files are generated locally in the browser.
